About & Methodology
An independent guide to biological-age tests, methods, and measurements.
A directory built around better questions
Biological Age Index helps readers understand what tests measure, what evidence supports their methods and what remains uncertain. It is an independent publishing project for bioage.io. Bioage is a part of Takreparation AB Sweden. Contact us at [email protected].
We are not a healthcare provider, diagnostic service or laboratory. We do not test samples, diagnose readers or sell a biological-age treatment.
Names and independence
Biological Age Index is not affiliated with BioAge Labs, BIOAGE supplements, EGYM BioAge or any listed provider. Product names identify the products being discussed and belong to their respective owners.
How we assess the evidence
The grade applies to a named measurement method and the evidence actually reviewed. It does not mean a product improves health, and it is never a score for a provider.
- A
- Replicated association with meaningful health outcomes across independent cohorts
- B
- Peer-reviewed validation but limited independent replication
- C
- Correlation with chronological age or limited outcome validation
- D
- Proprietary method with insufficient public validation
- Unrated
- Insufficient information for an assessment
Each assessment includes a plain-language rationale and source links on the relevant method or test page. Initial grades are provisional. A commercial bundle does not inherit the strongest grade of one included algorithm.
What “last verified” means
The date records a source check. Provider pages support provider descriptions and listed prices, not independent proof of effectiveness. Research papers support the specific methods and outcomes they actually studied. Draft profiles remain clearly labelled until an editor completes the review.
The first release uses AI-assisted editorial drafts. A qualified independent scientific reviewer has not yet reviewed this directory. No reviewer credentials or testimonials are implied.
